Desh Seba Sangstha (DSS) is dedicated to ensuring the efficient execution of resettlement and protection measures through rigorous external monitoring. Our team conducts rigorous assessments and verifications of land acquisition and resettlement processes, measuring the timeliness with which rights are delivered in accordance with authorized regulations. We assess impacted people’s livelihood opportunities and incomes, analyze the quality and suitability of relocation sites, and ensure that funding given for resettlement activities are adequate. DSS quantifies and qualifies reported disputes and grievances, ensuring that appropriate consultation and involvement mechanisms are in place. To ensure sustainability, we identify appropriate mitigation actions, document lessons learned, conduct monitoring surveys, and monitor environmental conditions.
